Unidirectional Carbon Tubing

Stiff, light-weight, efficient ... the workhorse of carbon fiber tubing.

Affordable and no-frills, uni-directional or "uni" tubing is really the structural backbone of every product we build.  Since carbon fiber is directional in it's properties (strongest and stiffest along the length of the fiber ... in tension), most high performance structures are built with multiple layers of carbon fiber running in the various directions desired for strength, stiffness, etc.  For simplicity, many tubes are built with alternating layers of 0, 45, and 90 degree uni-directional fibers.  Depending on the application, we can build tubes designed primarily for stiffness in bending (0 degree), torsion (45 degree), or burst/crush (90 degree).  Most of our stock "uni" tubing is designed primarily for bending applications (longitudinal stiffness).
