This dry 2x2 twill cloth is often used in aerospace and automotive applications. This is the thickest dry fabric we offer and is used commonly as a very efficient and affordable means for building up thickness in parts. This particular 12K carbon fiber fabric offers a lower cost but higher tensile strength and modulus than our 13000-D. A single ply of this material is roughly equivalent to using 3 plies of the lighter weight twill (part # 13005-D) and as such may be a perfect alternative to your project. Because of the fiber orientation this will add strength in both 0° and 90° directions.
