STRATOTubeGEO, carbon fiber tubes, are space flight-ready and are offered as a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) product for easy purchasing. These tubes are an excellent choice for structures that require lightweight, high stiffness (bending stiffness, first mode frequency, etc.), low CTE, and high glass transition temperature (Tg). Designed specifically for Medium Earth Orbits, Geostationary Orbits, and Deep Space applications, the maximum suggested use temperature is 450°F (230°C). Full traceability is maintained to material lots, cure cycle detail, and buy-up coupon testing. STRATOTubeGEO tubes are cured in an autoclave equivalent process for vacuum, pressure, and temperature.
