If you request a custom length you will be charged for a full length item (or items if more than 1 is needed to meet your request) plus a cutting fee. You will then be shipped the item sized to your specification and any remaining length of the orginal item (drops). Sanding also incurs a fee which will be included in the quote. All items that have been sanded or cut may not be returned.

Description

The higher the number the better, right? Unless you're golfing that's probably true. Composite materials offer incredible benefits when compared to metals but don't forget, there is a time and a place for each. So let us help you decide! Our high modulus carbon fiber tube is 50% stiffer than standard carbon fiber tubes. High modulus carbon fiber provides excellent thermal conductivity and stability. Our high modulus tubes typically employ 0° & 90° plies throughout the ply sequence / laminate orientation.

  • 0° Fibers maximize bending stiffness. Consider bending the tube over your knee.
  • 45° Fibers maximize torsional stiffness. Typically plied together in an opposing manner, i.e. ±45°. Consider twisting the tube like a vehicle's driveshaft.
  • 90° Fibers maximize crushing stiffness and generally assist in overall tube strength. Consider laying the tube on the ground and stepping on it.
