2.000" x 2.082" x 72" ◾ Space Grade LEO
Rock West Composites is proud to introduce a line of tubes specifically crafted for the rigors of space. Constructed with HR40 carbon fiber (57 Msi) in a quasi-isotropic layup for low CTE and high stiffness. NB321 resin is used to ensure low outgassing and reliable performance for multiple years on station. Designed specifically for Low Earth Orbit (LEO), the maximum suggested use temperature is 300°F (150°C). Full traceability is maintained to material lots, cure cycle detail, and buy-up coupon testing.
Each space grade order includes a certificate package with dimensional inspection, material certificates, traceability, and a statement of verification. All tubes are serialized and traceable. Additional options include full traveler verification (copies of out time tracking, ply angle and cure verifications), resin content testing (up to two test per tube available), and short beam shear testing.
Mitsubishi HR40 high modulus fiber.
Newport 321 epoxy resin.
