Longer lengths, thicker walls and lower costs! Fiberglass is naturally radio transparent and therefore used in many radome and communication applications. Unlike fiberglass' stiffer, stronger brother, carbon fiber, glass is a non-conductive material. For this reason it is often used in ladders and electrical applications where electrical conductivity could be dangerous.
