Please note we cannot control the OD of unsanded filament tubing as tightly as the sanded filament tubing. The listed OD is a theoretical value.
Let your capacity and delivery time concerns wash away. Rock West has 19 spindles on 4 separate winding machines allowing us to produce tubes in lengths up to 230". If this diameter is not a perfect match for your needs, and/or you have unique torque transfer requirements be sure to let us know. We build these parts right here in the USA.

This specific SKU 35153-GTRQ was tested with bonded in yokes and using SFI Specification 43.1. The specification requires these tubes to be tested to a static torque of 2800 lb/ft for 10 seconds and then tested with a cyclic torque of +2500 lb/ft and –1000 lb/ft for 25 cycles. After static and cyclic testing was performed, a destructive failure test was performed and resulted in the sample average torsional strength being 5773 lb/ft. Failure occurred when the adhesive broke and caused the yoke to slip inside the tube. This failure mode was unsatisfactory to us so we decided to insert 2 - ¾” bolts through each of the bonded in yokes and carbon. This test resulted in a slightly higher strength and failure was caused by the adhesive breaking and the bolts being ripped through the carbon.
