Unlike metals which have similar properties in all directions (isotropic), the properties of composites are varying, dependent on the orientation of the fibers in each layer. This particular INFINITubeUL (UltraLight) carbon fiber tube is built for harsh environments and designed to be used with our compression ring clamp system of the same name. This Tubing is comprised of directional "uni" plies for stiffness in bending applications and includes an outer ply of sanded smooth 2x2 twill fabric which provides a more durable exterior over the INFINITubeUL counterpart that has a "uni" outer ply.
INFINITubeUL carbon tubing is manufactured for use with our Telescoping Compression rings and low Friction. If you have never used low friction UHMW tapes, with an adhesive backing. They are designed to be used as a spacer between tubes of varying diameters to provide smooth sliding action and longer life of your assembly.
