CUSTOM BONDED ASSEMBLIES WITH CARBON FIBER TUBING

APPLICATION:

Custom bonded assemblies.

SOLUTION

Rock West assisted in design for manufacturing (DFM) for the machined metal parts and was able to source metal parts for our customer to reduce the customers supply chain to a single point for delivered assemblies. To reduce lead time and cost, Rock West used our in-house SLA 3D printer with off-the-shelf drill bushings to create low-cost custom drill jigs for machining clearance holes on our painted carbon tubes. The parts were then bonded into assemblies with sourced metal parts on precision machined aluminum fixtures for precise alignment and repeatability.
