If you are requesting bulk discounts, cutting, or standard sanding services only, we will send you a cart with your product selections. You may enter your shipping information and purchase directly at that time. Please note, the cart will not allow edits to the quote. Any changes will have to be completed by our team. If we do not have enough information to complete your quote we will reach out to you directly. If you are requesting additional services or custom sanding, a team member will reach out to you to finalize a quote.

If you request a custom length you will be charged for a full length item (or items if more than 1 is needed to meet your request) plus a cutting fee. You will then be shipped the item sized to your specification and any remaining length of the orginal item (drops). Sanding also incurs a fee which will be included in the quote. All items that have been sanded or cut may not be returned.

Estimated lead time for quantities greater than what is Available Now is expected to be between 2 and 4 weeks.

Please note we cannot control the OD of unsanded filament tubing as tightly as the sanded filament tubing. The listed OD is a theoretical value.

Void of compromise and full of intense performance! Rock West's high modulus tubing utilizes a high performance resin system giving it a higher Tg and special hardening agents. Filament Wound Carbon Tubing is a very long continuous fiber that adds to strength and stiffness. Filament wound tubes are excellent for torsion, long single-piece tubes, and a unique aesthetic. Most economical for larger scale production. The unsanded finish on this tube is less controlled, so the listed OD is theoretical. To control the tolerance on the OD of this tube we suggest you have it sanded. This unsanded carbon fiber filament wound tube has a 0.750" ID x 0.950" OD and is sold by the foot. The longest continuous length available for this tube is 108" long.

0.750" ID Filament Wound High Modulus Tubing Facts

  • Ideal for torsional applications and long single-piece tube needs
  • Filament wound finish, unique aesthetic
  • 0.750" ID x 0.95" OD x 12" Long, up to 108" long
  • Unsanded Finish, can be sanded to remove gloss and control OD tolerance. Option available in customization box
  • 57 msi Unidirectional carbon fiber throughout with a
  • Plain weave outer woven layer for increased performance when machining and hole drilling
  • Can easily be trimmed into shorter lengths for your complete build
  • Nearly 2x stiffer than all standard modulus tubes
  • *Estimated to have an elastic modulus of ~18Msi

Features & Benefits

Carbon Fiber Material | Modulus, Strength | Benefits, Features & Notes

  • Standard Modulus | 34 msi, 700 ksi | Good structural properties - Stiffer than aluminum - Readily available
  • Intermediate Modulus | 42 msi, 825 ksi | Great structural properties - Highest strength option - Great balance of stiffness and strength
  • High Modulus | 57 msi, 670 ksi | Very stiff - Good thermal conductivity / stability - Typically used in all 0° & 90° (or off-axis) plies throughout the ply sequence / laminate orientation.
  • Ultra High Modulus | 94 msi, 414 ksi | Stiffest option available - Great thermal conductivity - Used primarily as 0° plies in combination with lower modulus / higher strength fibers in the 90° orientation to create a well-balanced and functional composite structure.

*Values listed above are reflective only of the fiber NOT the composite matrix (fiber + resin) and are listed only for tensile modulus and strength. ***Theoretical values are currently not available for this tube but testing can be performed upon request for a fee
