If you are requesting bulk discounts, cutting, or standard sanding services only, we will send you a cart with your product selections. You may enter your shipping information and purchase directly at that time. Please note, the cart will not allow edits to the quote. Any changes will have to be completed by our team. If we do not have enough information to complete your quote we will reach out to you directly. If you are requesting additional services or custom sanding, a team member will reach out to you to finalize a quote.

If you request a custom length you will be charged for a full length item (or items if more than 1 is needed to meet your request) plus a cutting fee. You will then be shipped the item sized to your specification and any remaining length of the orginal item (drops). Sanding also incurs a fee which will be included in the quote. All items that have been sanded or cut may not be returned.

Estimated lead time for quantities greater than what is Available Now is expected to be between 2 and 4 weeks.

Introducing extreme. Rock West's ultra high modulus tubing utilizes pitch based carbon fibers in the 0 degree orientation to yield the stiffest composite tube yet. Our 0.625"ID x 0.750" OD ultra high modulus tubing lineup is designated generally by using an outer layer of a 1k plain weave fabric.

Features & Benefits

Carbon Fiber Material | Modulus, Strength | Benefits, Features & Notes

  • Standard Modulus | 34 msi, 700 ksi | Good structural properties - Stiffer than aluminum - Readily available
  • Intermediate Modulus | 42 msi, 825 ksi | Great structural properties - Highest strength option - Great balance of stiffness and strength
  • High Modulus | 57 msi, 670 ksi | Very stiff - Good thermal conductivity / stability - Typically used in all 0° & 90° (or off-axis) plies throughout the ply sequence / laminate orientation.
  • Ultra High Modulus | 94 msi, 414 ksi | Stiffest option available - Great thermal conductivity - Used primarily as 0° plies in combination with lower modulus / higher strength fibers in the 90° orientation to create a well-balanced and functional composite structure.

*Values listed above are reflective only of the fiber NOT the composite matrix (fiber + resin) and are listed only for tensile modulus and strength. ***Theoretical values are currently not available for this tube but testing can be performed upon request for a fee

  • 0° fibers maximize bending stiffness and run along the length of the part. Consider bending a tube over your knee.
  • 45° fibers maximize torsional stiffness and are typically plied together in an opposing manner, i.e. ±45°. Consider twisting a tube like a vehicle's driveshaft.
  • 90° (or "hoop") fibers maximize crushing stiffness and generally assist in overall durability. Consider laying a tube on the ground and stepping on it.
