If you request a custom length you will be charged for a full length item (or items if more than 1 is needed to meet your request) plus a cutting fee. You will then be shipped the item sized to your specification and any remaining length of the orginal item (drops). Sanding also incurs a fee which will be included in the quote. All items that have been sanded or cut may not be returned.

Description

Engineered tubing to the rescue! Use for making a quickly deploy-able tripod assembly, boom pole, and virtually anything else telescoping! This is a single tube. To make a complete telescoping assembly you will have to purchase additional tubes from the INFINITubeV system to create a telescoping pole.

To meet growing market demand, Rock West Composites is now selling an Economy line of tubes and plates. These products provide a lower bar for entry for customers looking to incorporate carbon fiber and other composites into their projects. This low-cost line is sourced internationally and is best utilized in applications that do not have engineering critical features, but has the convenience of shipping from our Utah operation for expedient delivery.

Our premium Rock West tubes and plates are manufactured to our exacting standards in-house. The result is greater strength and stiffness with guaranteed consistent layups, tolerances, and test results. Features & Benefits

  • High gloss, smooth painted surface. (Can be sanded)
  • We suggest the use UHMW low friction tape to maintain snug fit. It is possible to use the same UHMW tape to prevent tubes from pulling apart at full extension (see graphic below).
  • Fabric outer ply minimize "breakout" typically associated with drilling into composites while giving the tubes the traditional carbon fiber look.
  • Fabric fiberglass scrim inner ply (~0.005") allows for higher abrasion resistance than carbon fiber as well as reduces fiber splintering typically associated with drilling / cutting into all carbon tubes.

    • (A) Smaller of the two INFINITubeV tubes
    • (B) Larger of the two INFINITubeV tubes
    • (C):Low Friction Tape
