Quick Release Ball Lock Pins
Quick release ball lock ◾ Button head or T-handle design ◾ Variety of sizes ◾ Works with INFINITubeV tubing
Much like our button clips, these pins will not release until the button on the handle is depressed. Once the button is depressed, the balls retract into the shank allowing the pin to be inserted into or out of a hole. Quick release ball lock pins work best in multiple tube applications as they nest perfectly one within the other OR multi piece systems in which the entire system can be broken down and pulled completely apart.
Details about our quick release ball lock pins
- Handles are made from 380 aluminum and anodized black, shank is made from 300 series stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance.
- All pins are supplied with a stainless steel split ring for attaching a cable/tether assembly if desired.
- No adhesive is required if you are joining tubes of successively decreasing diameter.
The most common method for joining tubes with the ball lock pins is by integrating tubing ferrules bonded into one end. Quick-release ball lock pins work best in multiple tube applications as they nest perfectly one within the other OR multi-piece systems in which the entire system can be broken down and pulled completely apart. There are numerous possibilities when it comes to using these pins and our stock tubing. You can either choose descending sizes (our class B tubing lineup is perfect) to create a “tapering” telescoping assembly OR you can use our ferrule tubing which would require bonding to retain the same diameter tube in as many extended pieces as you would like.
Note that almost any nominally sized OD can be sanded to sleeve within that same nominal size ID; i.e. You can choose a 1.00 x 1.125 x 72 inch tube and have it sanded to fit inside a 1.125 x 1.25 x 72 inch tube. Sanding in this case is required as our “stock” od tolerance applies.
